GENERAL MISCELLANEOUS
In addition to your standard insurance program, several additional coverages should be reviewed to ensure adequate protection. These incidental exposures can be a key component in your overall risk management program.
Accident Insurance
This insurance is written to cover one or more of the following:
(1) loss of life,
(2) dismemberment,
(3) multiple benefits for certain uncommon accidents,
(4) disability income and
(5) medical expenses.
The limits and coverage provided is specified in the form.

Aircraft Owned/Non-Owned
This policy is used to provide direct and/or incidental protection to aircraft, either owned or used on a nonowned basis. The form contains several insuring agreements. Hull insurance will include "In Flight" (also called "In Motion" or "Not In Motion") agreements detailing coverage descriptions. Liability coverage is similar to that offered for automobiles, except that passengers can be included or excluded. If coverage is written for passengers, it can be handled as a legal liability coverage or on an admitted or "guest" liability basis in which the amount chosen is paid regardless of fault. Back to top
Airport Liability
This policy will provide liability protection for the operations conducted by an airport. It includes five major sections: airport operations, structural alterations, contractual liability, products liability and hangarkeepers legal liability. Back to top
Crop Insurance
This insurance is designed to protect your financial interest in a crop against loss due to a covered peril. Coverage can be written on a specified perils basis to cover fire or hail losses, or on a comprehensive perils basis which covers all losses except those excluded on the form. Back to top
Employee Benefits
Although not normally thought of as a standard risk management review item, employee benefits can be an extremely important exposure for your business. A review (at least in a generalized way) should be made to determine if adequate coverage is provided for employees, owners and corporate officers, for health, life and disability coverages. Event Cancellation Insurance
This policy is written to protect you against loss of revenue when a designated event or season is cancelled due to a specified peril such as weather, sickness, accident, etc. Normally, such perils insured under these types of policies are not covered under standard Property forms. Back to top
Hangarkeepers Legal Liability
This policy is used to cover aircraft owned by others, while in your care, custody or control for storage, repair or safekeeping and while in or on the described premises. Back to top
Miscellaneous Bonds Required
Many times firms such as yours may require a variety of bonds in conjunction with your business operations. These bonds may be required by either public or private entities to fulfill any number of different guarantees or obligations. It is common for these bonding obligations to be as important to you as your insurance program. Back to top
Overseas Risk Exposure
Firms such as yours may be involved in marketing efforts in foreign countries. Unusual insurance considerations can arise when dealing with this exposure. You can be subject to actions from foreign countries, or in the United States against the foreign countries, which may result in losses to you. These political risks can include embargoes, seizure of assets, war, credit risks, etc. It may be necessary for you to explore these exposures and purchase appropriate insurance. Back to top
Prize Indemnity Insurance
This coverage will reimburse you for the costs of prizes awarded to individuals winning at promotional activities. The specific sum and event is described on the declaration page of this policy. Back to top
Protection & Indemnity Coverage
This coverage is used to protect against liability claims arising out of the servicing or use of watercraft while insured vessels are afloat. Back to top
Recreational Equipment
This insurance is used to cover specified motorized equipment for the limits and coverage described in the policy. Back to top
Special Events Insurance
Firms such as yours may be involved in special events not normally contemplated in standard insurance policies. An alternative to negotiating coverage for such a situation with your regular company (which may jeopardize your standard insurance program) is to write a separate special events policy for the liability exposures for this event. Back to top
Watercraft Owned/Non-Owned
This coverage is used to provide liability and/or hull coverage for watercraft owned by you, used by you, or both. This insurance is similar to your Auto policy in that you can select the necessary coverage you need for your particular marine exposures. Back to top
Weather Insurance
This coverage is used to protect against income loss and/or extra expenses arising from specified weather conditions not insurable under your standard insurance program.Back to top
