
Ingredients
10-oz lasagna noodles, break into bite size pieces (about 10 noodles)
1/2 lb lean ground beef or ground round
1/2 lb lean pork sausage
1 onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic
12-oz cottage or ricotta cheese
16-oz mozzarella cheese, shredded (reserve some cheese to put on top for last 20 minutes or so)
26-oz spaghetti sauce
salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Saute meat, onions & garlic and drain well. Grease 5-Quart slow cooker with shortening. Mix the rest of the ingredients together and add with meat mixture. Cook 3-5 hours on high heat or 7-8 hours on low heat, or try 1 hour high then 5 hours on low.
