If you are unfamiliar with MOPAR Vehicle Protection, it is an extended warranty offered to owners of cars manufactured by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and some competing manufacturers. It does not overlap with warranty coverage, but includes additional benefits. The car brands included in MOPAR are:
MOPAR is an abbreviation of the words “motor” and “parts.” It is a term that has been used by Chrysler for decades and refers to the use of original equipment manufactured parts during car service and repair. The Costs There are a lot of factors that are considered when determining the cost of your MOPAR Vehicle Protection plan. The make and model, the amount and length of coverage, and the deductible are just a few of these factors. For example, certain plans have a $0 deductible option, while others do not. It would be best to speak with a representative on the phone about the plans you’d like to consider in order to determine the exact cost. For those considering the purchase of a MOPAR plan, there is a monthly payment option available. It is interest-free and provides additional flexibility to plan holders. The Plans There are several MOPAR vehicle protection plans available: Maximum Care: This plan covers more than 5,000 mechanical components. This will significantly reduce your out-of-pocket costs if an incident occurs. Most plans, including maximum care, have a provision for car rentals ($175 per occurrence) and roadside assistance. Added Care Plus: This plan covers over 800 mechanical components. Lifetime: This plan option is only available for the original car owner. It includes mechanical repairs to non-wearable components that are covered by the plan. Other features like towing and rentals ends at 7 years or 100,0000 miles. There are also a variety of convenience and maintenance plans available. Speaking with a MOPAR representative will help to clarify the differences between these additional coverage options. Length of Plan Coverage New Vehicle: Coverage begins the same day as the warranty and starts when the car has zero miles. The date you received delivery of the new vehicle, the warranty begins. If you wait to purchase MOPAR until a later date, the date of the coverage still starts the same day as the warranty. You can purchase the plan up to four years and 48,000 miles after the warranty start date. The plans generally cover 7 years or 100,000 miles. Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle: The coverage policy start date is the same as the New Vehicle plan. The plans also generally cover 7 years or 100,000 miles. Traditional Pre-Owned Vehicle: Unlike New Vehicle and Certified Pre-Own Vehicle plans, this MOPAR plan will begin on the date of purchase. So, if the car is five years old and you purchase a two-year plan, the vehicle will be covered until the car is 7 years old. The plan cannot be purchased if the car is more than 10 years old or has more than 125,000 miles. When a Repair is Needed If your car needs maintenance or a repair, return to the dealer that sold you the MOPAR plan. Their service division will take care of your vehicle. If you are not near your local dealership when a repair is required, you can travel to the nearest qualifying dealership. If the shop is not a Chrysler, Ram, Dodge, Jeep dealer, then the facility needs to be authorized through MOPAR first. How to Contact Those car owners interested in a MOPAR vehicle protection plan can contact their local auto dealer or 1-888-240-2709. If you own a vehicle made by a competing manufacturer, a hotline representative can verify whether or not the vehicle will qualify. Locksmiths play a very critical role in society. They not only help people out of sticky situations, but they also install, build and repair locks and other security devices (vaults, safes and alarm systems), and duplicate keys.
